What we collect
Only what the app needs to work:
- Your name and email — so you have an account and can log back in.
- Quest completions — which quests you finished, skipped or hesitated on, so we can build your archive and traits.
- Voice notes and photos — only the ones you choose to record or upload as part of a quest.
- Device info — basic things like device type, app version and crash logs, so we can fix what breaks.
How we use it
- To serve you the right daily quest.
- To track your progress, streaks, revealed traits and chapters.
- To enable friend features — sharing quests and seeing what your people are up to.
- To keep the app stable and improve it over time.
That's it. No ad targeting, no shadow profiles, no creepy stuff.
Where your data lives
We use trusted third-party services to store and manage your data securely.
AI features
We use AI technology to power certain in-app features, like personalised encouragement and quest reflections. When a feature needs it, relevant content you've written may be sent to an AI provider to generate a response. It is not used to train public models, and we never send your voice notes or photos to power these features.
Voice notes and photos are yours
Anything you record or capture inside a quest is private and only accessible by you. We don't browse it, publish it, or share it with other users unless you explicitly choose to share it yourself.
We never sell your data
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to anyone. Ever. We only share data with the service providers that make the app run (like Firebase), or if we're legally required to.
Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account any time from Profile → Settings → Delete account. That wipes your profile, quest history, voice notes and photos from our systems within 30 days, including from backups.

Kids
Unplanned is built for people 13 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If we find out we have, we delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change something meaningful, we'll update this page and let you know in the app. We won't quietly rewrite the rules.
